Font of the week – PT Sans
PT Sans is another great typeface for body copy that we can use both in apps and websites. Of course it’s also free which is always nice and it’s not helvetica+ ;) I suggest you go ahead and download it from http://www.fontsquirrel.com/fonts/PT-Sans right now.
I’m especially happy to see that we’re not limited to Helvetica Neue, Roboto and Segoe for our mobile designs with great free fonts like this one, Open Sans or Source Sans Pro around :)
Font of the week – Source Sans Pro
Source Sans pro is a great Sans Serif font from Adobe, that has a wide range of languages and a very nice overall design. As helvetica (in it’s many forms) is a bit overused, it’s always great to look for alternatives. You can download the font for free at:
Font of the Week – Airbag
Airbag is a Radiohead inspired Slab Serif Typeface that fits perfectly into any poster or branding design. It’s also free so it’s a no brainer. Go get it now at Simon Stratford’s website.
Font of the week: Museo Sans
This week we have another “body copy” font that can replace Helvetica Neue in at least a few of your designs: introducing Museo Sans 500. The whole typeface is not free, but the 500 and 500 italic versions are so if you’re into finding a way to freshen up your copy designs go ahead and download it now!
Font of the Week – Open Sans (Free)
Open Sans is a font that stole my heart and my designs this year. It’s by far one of the most beautiful typefaces I’ve ever seen. And it’s perfectly crafted for both web and mobile. It really shines in the latter. The best part? It’s completely free and a part of google web fonts.

Font of the Week: Code Pro
Here’s a very nice bold+thin free font called Code Pro. It looks very good on all kinds of modern-style web-designs and posters and for the $0 price is well worth grabbing right now!
Font of the Week – PulsarJS icon font
PulsarJS is a very nice icon typeface that comes in really handy, and in most cases can fully replace vector icon packs. Sure not all of the icons are awesome, but most of them are very neatly done and work well in all resolutions. This is a no-brainer.

Font of the week : Cantarell
Cantarell is another one of those fonts that you can simply fall in love with and use all over your designs. The awesome part? It’s completely free for both personal and commercial use, so in the sea of paid fonts this is another island of free&good. I suggest you Download the TTF of Cantarell now!
Font of the week – Signika Light / Signika font family
The Signika family is a beautiful set of typefaces made by Anna Giedryś. Signika is a sans-serif, gentle gentle font, developed for wayfinding, signage, and other media where clarity of information is required. And it sure does deliver, looking great especially on white backgrounds. It has a low contrast and tall x-height to improve readability of texts in small sizes as well as in large distances from the reader. It can also be used via Google Web Fonts and looks great online. In fact we’re using it for the body copy at Hype4 websites (blogs not included). Get it now at Google Web Fonts
Font of the week: Quicksand
Quicksand is a very nice, rounded, sans-serif typeface that works quite well for all kinds of large type. It also has a VERY NICE ampersand, that can be used to liven up a serif typeface.
You can download it for free here. Give the props to the designers too while you’re at it!
Font of the week: Wayfinding Sans
Wayfinding Sans is a beautiful font designed especially for all kinds of informational signs, but we think it can have a much wider application, as it’s simply a very good looking typeface.

Font of the week: Hagin Caps Thin
Another great font from the nice people of Bulgaria (FontFabric). This one is a bit more stylish and comes in both medium and thin variations. Very good with posters and banners and since it’s free it’s practically a no-brainer!

Font of the week: Socialico
Socialico is a problem solver of most layouts social bars
Socialico is a graphical font, that has two styles of popular social media websites like YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and Vimeo. The styles are standard icon, and a negative enclosed inside a circle, so it’s pretty easy to incorporate them into any kind of design.

Nexa looks stunning!
Nexa is a beautiful free font designed by Svet Simov from Sofia, Bulgaria, that looks great and refreshing in many designs. We especially like the light version and the ampersand. Great work Svet!

Font of the week: Qumpellka No 12
Each week we will look into our vast libraries and find the nicest and most useful fonts that are usually also free (or cheap). This week we have a nice oldschool style font called Qumpellka No12 by a Polish font designer Gluk. As you can see above it’s a nice poster font, but can also be useful for games, album art etc. It’s available on the OpenFontLicense and you can download it here.
