Before HungrySquid reached 400,000 downloads and became the little gem it is today, we went through a lot of iterations and versions before arriving at the current one. Let’s take a trip back in time and walk through some of them now.
We started like all great things do – with a pencil and paper in a coffee shop ;)
The very first version, without any markings on the stones and with a funky background ;)
We went through a couple of colour and b&w versions before almost nailing it.
The first attempt at the in-game menu.
The initial concept was for the squid to grow it’s tentacles but it turned out to be … well, kinda creepy ;)
So spilling ink it was. It took us a while before it started to look nice though.
